(Attapulgus, GA) -- An elephant who's been living in a Puerto Rican zoo that was closed six years ago is now finding a new home.

Elephant Aid International says the 41-year-old African elephant named Mundi lived alone in a small yard at the zoo and was chained up at night.

The organization is raising money to help transport Mundi to an elephant refuge in Georgia, where she'll have 850 acres to roam around in.

Their goal is to get Mundi to the sanctuary by the first week of May.
