(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota lawmakers are considering funding to improve cybersecurity in the state’s public and charter schools.
Grants for building and cybersecurity improvements amounting to 35-million dollars have been included in the omnibus education finance bill.
Minnesota IT Services is recommending that districts educate personnel on cyber-awareness, as they are often the gateway into a system.
State officials are also recommending that districts use multi factor authentication and improving patches to their networks.
