(Bismarck, ND) -- Governor Doug Burgum is set to consider a bill that would tighten scrutiny of petition signatures for citizen-initiated ballot measures.

The bill follows fraud allegations last year related to petitions to support a term limit measure.

The state Supreme Court eventually ordered a vote on the ballot measure, which passed.

No criminal charges were filed following the allegations.
