(Minot, ND) -- North Dakota wheat farmers are delaying planting seed while ground conditions are too wet.

North Dakota Wheat Commission officials say producers will likely get into the fields in early or middle May.

The delay is likely to trigger changes in market prices.

The biggest factor affecting current market prices is Ukraine's limited exports and the quality of the crop.
