Representative Kelly Armstrong says "a lot" of republicans want to stop funding World Health Organization

(Fargo, ND) -- Representative Kelly Armstrong was asked about the Biden Administration's push to allow the World Health Organization to determine U.S. health policy.

"It's important to remember that in order for a treaty to take effect, it has to pass, like a real treaty that binds the United States to anything, it has to be ratified by the U.S. Senate," said Armstrong.

The Biden Administration is reportedly supportive of a a proposed international agreement with the WHO, that would allow the organization to establish response protocols within countries in the event of another pandemic.

Armstrong also says there are "a lot of republicans who want to de-fund money to the WHO".

He made the comment while appearing on "What's on Your Mind" on AM 1100 The Flag.
