(St. Paul, MN) -- A federal judge is staying her own order that would have struck down Minnesota's minimum age requirement to obtain a permit to carry a gun.

U.S. District Judge Katherine Menendez issued the stay Monday, putting a 30-day hold on her ruling last month that would have eliminated a requirement that residents be at least 21-years-old to get a permit to carry.

The judge said that there could be issues if her initial ruling was overturned.
