North Dakota Senate Majority Leader Hogue points to tax relief while calling legislative session a success

(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota's Senate Majority Leader is calling the legislative session just completed a success.

"When you talk tax relief, you're talking about a historic amount, the largest in the history of the state. We start off with a combination of income tax and property tax relief," said David Hogue.

Hogue is talking about tax relief passed by lawmakers totaling $515 million.

That includes a total of $358 million in income tax relief.

Lawmakers also approved a $500 dollar property tax credit for homeowners on their primary residences.

Hogue talked about the tax breaks while appearing on "What's on Your Mind" on AM 1100 The Flag.
