(Fargo, ND) -- UPDATE: A representative with the Red River Regional Dispatch Center says 911 service has been restored in Cass County as of 1:08 p.m. and is fully operational as of that time.

INITIAL REPORT:

911 for some North Dakota callers temporarily may not direct you to emergency services.

The Red River Regional Dispatch Center says they are aware of a 911 outage that is impacting specific callers in the area. The center says 911 calls from landlines and AT&T  and Verizon cellular calls from North Dakota may not reach the dispatch center. Some of the landline 911 calls are being rerouted to administrative lines. However, texts to 911 is still working to providers.

Calls from Minnesota are working as normal. Authorities ask you do not test call 911 to ensure your service is still functioning, and that if you need emergency service and are experiencing an outage to contact the dispatch center's emergency line at 701-451-7660.
