(Bismarck, ND) -- Black residents in South Dakota, Minnesota and North Dakota will be able to apply to receive a $50,000 grant.

The Bush Foundation is opening up applications for part of a $50 million dollar trust called the Open Road Fund. This nonprofit organization has worked to tackle Black wealth, homeownership, and education rate gaps with grants. Nexus Community Partners Senior Director Danielle Mkali says they are helping distribute a hundred grants at random yearly over the next eight years.

Anyone can apply as long as they meet the application criteria. There will be no income limit or merit consideration, and people can apply each year. You can learn more about the fund by clicking here
