"Huge inventory" of parcels nominated for oil and gas lease sales remains in North Dakota

(Fargo, ND) -- The head of the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources is talking about progress being made in efforts aimed at getting the Biden Administration to allow quarterly oil and gas lease sales in the state.

"As you know, we've been litigating that with the Bureau of Land Management and Judge Traynor has been great at digging into that and figuring out that they don't have the legal authority not to hold those quarterly lease sales," said Lyn Helms.

Helms says there is a "huge inventory" of parcels nominated for sale in the state.

The second sale in North Dakota under the Biden administration is set for June 27th.
