(Bismarck, ND) -- A North Dakota constitutional initiative related to the removal and suspension of property taxes except in some cases has been filed with the Secretary of State's office.
The measure would remove the ability of any political subdivision to levy tax on real or personal property. The one exception includes if the funds are being used to pay off bonded indebtedness acquired prior to the approval of the measure. The measure is sponsored by Former North Dakota State Representative Rick Becker
