North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum leads republican presidential hopefuls in campaign spending

(Fargo, ND) -- Governor Doug Burgum is leading the Republican field running for president, at least in one category.

NBC News says Burgum has spent more on campaign ads in the last two weeks than any other candidate.

Since June 7th Burgum has spent more than $2.9 million on ads, mostly on television.

Ad-tracking firm AdImpact says Senator Tim Scott has spent the second most in that time at one-million-dollars.
