Crash outside Strasberg leads to death of South Dakota man

(Strasburg, ND) -- A South Dakota man is dead following a rollover crash southwest of Strausberg.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened on July 5th sometime before 6:00 a.m. along 9th Avenue Southeast. Authorities say a combination of high speeds on gravel roads caused the 56-year-old Pollock man to lose control as he was on the down slope of a hill. The vehicle entered the west ditch and overturned, coming to a rest on its roof. 

The driver was ejected from the vehicle, later passing away from his injuries on the scene. Authorities say the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
