South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem responds to Ben & Jerry's Mount Rushmore post

(Pierre, SD)  --  The governor of South Dakota is slamming Ben & Jerry's for its social media post about Mount Rushmore.

In its Fourth of July social media post, the ice cream company called for the U.S. to return what it called "stolen indigenous land" starting with Mount Rushmore.

Republican Governor Kristi Noem said she won't listen to "a bunch of liberal Vermont businessmen who think they know everything about this country and haven't studied our history."

Noem added, "We should be proud of America and knock off what Ben & Jerry's is doing."

Ben & Jerry's has faced backlash for the post, including calls for a boycott.
