Grand Forks law enforcement searching for sex offender accused of cutting off tracking device

(Grand Forks, ND) -- Police are searching for a Grand Forks sex offender who escaped from electronic home monitoring.

Bill Brown Jr. is accused of cutting a monitoring bracelet off his ankle and fled. He had just finished a 90-day long incarceration sentence and was supposed to spend another 90-days on electronic home monitoring when he fled. 

Authorities describe Brown as 5'9", weighing 160lbs, and with black hair. Any information related to Brown's whereabouts is asked to be sent to authorities.
