North Dakota leads nation for GDP growth

(Bismarck, ND)  --  There is some good news for North Dakota.  

The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis says the state's Gross Domestic Product or GDP increased by 12-percent over the last year.  

The national increase was two-percent.  

The GDP reflects how much revenue a state is making from goods and services.  

North Dakota led the nation in earnings with energy and agriculture sectors the most prominent revenue producing industries in the state.
