One dead and three seriously injured in Egan wrong-way crash on I-35e

(Egan, MN) --  A man is dead following a wrong-way crash in Egan.

The wreck happened early yesterday on I-35e when a driver crashed his car head-on into an SUV hauling a boat. The driver of the car was taken to the Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he later died from his injuries. Three people in the SUV are facing life-threatening injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the car's driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.
