North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum reaches one goal toward qualifying for GOP debate

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Governor Doug Burgum keeps trekking towards that Republican debate stage.

The governor said yesterday he has met one requirement needed to participate in the first Republican presidential debate late next month.

His campaign has collected at least 40-thousand individual donors which include more than 200 from 20 different states.

Burgum also needs to hold at least one-percent in several polls prior to the debate.

A University of New Hampshire poll released earlier this week shows the North Dakota governor with six-percent support.
