PERHAM, MN - A train derailed near Perham, in Otter Tail County Thursday night. The Sheriff's Office says no one was hurt and there is no concern for public safety. The derailment happened just before midnight on the east side of Highway 10, near the intersection of County Hwy 60. It's not known how many cars left the tracks. Cleanup is underway. The crossings at County Highway 60 and 475th Street are closed until the tracks are cleared.
It's not known what caused the train to derail. BNSF is investigating what led to the derailment.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Perham Police and the Minnesota State Patrol.
