Rural North Dakota communities struggle with teacher shortage

(Glen Ullin, ND)  --  As the school year gets underway across North Dakota the teacher shortage continues.

School administrators especially in rural areas are really feeling the pinch of the lack of educators.

The greatest challenge appears to be filling counseling, music and special education positions.

Glen Ullin Superintendent Peter Remboldt says to alleviate the shortage they have brought in teachers from South Africa and the Philippines.
