Minot man's mother confirmed dead in Maui

(Minot, ND)  --  A Minot man has confirmed the death of his mother in the wildfires of Maui.  

Joshua Herman says he spoke to his mother before the wildfires and hadn't been able to reach her since.  

Herman's family was notified over the weekend that his mother's remains were recovered and identified through fingerprints.
