North Dakota wheat harvest slower than normal

(Mandan, ND)  --  The Wheat Commission says the harvest of the spring wheat crop remains slower than normal.

In its report this week the commission said heavy fog, high humidity and thick morning dew stalled harvest progress.

The USDA says 54-percent of the spring wheat crop nationally has been harvested while that number is just under 40-percent harvested in North Dakota.

This year's crop in North Dakota is about ten-percent behind last year's yield.
