2 Minnesota lawmakers reveal state fair transit bill 

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Two Minnesota lawmakers are planning to introduce a bill that will increase State Fair transit options.

Representatives Rick Hansen and Frank Hornstein say their goal is reduce traffic and parking to improve the overall fair experience.

The lawmakers are aware that the Metro Transit offers 31 free park-and-ride options but the demand has been high.

Fairgoers say it's still difficult to find a parking spot at the park-and-ride lot.

The lawmakers transportation bill due by August 1st 2024, would be a collaboration between the State Agricultural Society and the Metropolitan Council.
