(Harvey, ND) -- A long-time business and local gathering spot in Harvey has been destroyed by a fire.
Early Monday, the Harvey Fire Department was called to the B-52 Roadhouse & Lanes, a restaurant and bowling alley, on a report of heavy smoke coming from the building. Firefighters encountered smoke and flames pouring out of the structure when they arrived, and worked to put out the fire and stop it from spreading. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported, but the business was destroyed.
Harvey Assistant Fire Chief Daniel Deck called the it a "tragic loss". The business owners adding that eight years of hard work was gone in a few hours. However, B-52 Roadhouse & Lanes thanked everyone for the support from across the community.
"We are so appreciative to know we have such a great support group. We would like to thank everyone for that, "said the owners in a social media post, "We would also like to extend our gratitude to all of the firefighters, police, city employees, utility workers. Even though we had a huge loss, we still very much appreciate all you have done."
