Vision Zero announces more than 2.1k citations in speeding enforcement period

(Bismarck, ND) -- A law enforcement crackdown on speeding in North Dakota resulted in thousands of drivers being cited.

Called the "Speeding Slows You Down" enforcement campaign, it ran from August 1st to August 17th. Overall, a total of 2,420 speeding citations were issued throughout the campaign. According to the state Department of Transportation, the campaign also resulted in 22 seat belt citations, eight distracted driving citations, ten drug arrests, and one DUI.
