Plane crash kills one in northeast North Dakota

(MINTO) -- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) says one person is dead following a airplane crash near Minto, in northeast North Dakota.

A FAA spokesman told WDAY/WZFG Radio News that a single-engine Thrush S2R-T660 hit a power line and crashed around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The pilot was the lone occupant and died, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP).

NDHP Sgt. Christopher Schaefer said the FAA has taken over the investigation.
