A Washburn couple facing several charges after discovery of meth and cocaine

(Washburn, ND) -- A Washburn, North Dakota couple is facing drug charges after police executed a search warrant at their home.

A narcotics task force says they found several items; including meth, cocaine, empty plastic bags, a scale, and other drug paraphernalia. Robert Aaseth and Patricia Burns were arrested, with both facing charges related to possession and sale of meth. Aaseth is also facing charges related to being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. 

Local authorities say a sawed-off shotgun was also found inside the home.
