(Washington, D.C.)  --  Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon is expected to speak before Congress about the dangers of how artificial intelligence affects elections.

His office is getting some assistance in stopping potential election interference.

A Minnesota bill was signed into law in May that makes it a crime for a person to knowingly disseminate a deep fake within 90 days of an election.

Simon is scheduled to address the U.S. Senate Committee on rules and administration Wednesday afternoon.
