(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality warns hunters to keep their eyes peeled for blue-green algae.
It grows in warm, calm bodies of water, and may look like grass clippings or green cottage cheese. The toxic algae is dangerous for people and can be fatal to pets. The department is also advising that hunters carry plenty of fresh water and report any bodies of water they come across that may be contaminated.
