Burgum orders flags flown at half-staff following death of California Senator Dianne Feinstein

(BISMARCK) – North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has ordered all flags to be flown at half-staff, following the death of United States Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Feinstein, a United States Senator from California, died Thursday at age 90.

All United States and North Dakota flags at government agencies have been ordered to be flown at half-staff, and Burgum urges all North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses.

Burgum’s directive is pursuant to 4 U.S. Code § 7(m), which states all flags are to be flown at half-staff following the death of a member of Congress.

President Joe Biden has directed all flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset on the day of interment.
