(Bismarck, ND) — A statewide traffic enforcement agency is announcing the citation totals of an anti-distracted driving campaign.
Vision Zero says a total of 601 citations were issued by law enforcement agencies across the state throughout September in the “U Drive. U Text. U Pay.” campaign.
Vision Zero gave a breakdown for the full list of citations.
- 305 – Distracted Driving
- 110 – Speeding
- 41 – Not wearing a seatbelt
- 40 – Other traffic citations (disobeying traffic signals, equipment violations, etc.)
- 24 – Citations for suspended and revoked licenses.
- 12 – Uninsured motorists
- 10 – Drug related arrests
