NDDOT worker among two hurt in crash near Lakota

LAKOTA, ND - Two people were hurt in a construction zone crash in Nelson County Monday afternoon. It happened on Highway 2 east of Lakota, just before 1:30 p.m. The State Patrol says NDDOT crews were patching a section of highway when a semi, driven by a 58-year old Emerado man, hit an unoccupied DOT pickup, a worker, patching equipment, and a plow truck.The DOT worker, a 25-year old Michigan, North Dakota man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.The driver of the semi that lost control was also hurt. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Troopers are trying to figure out what caused the semi driver to lose control.
