(Bismarck, ND) -- The deadline is fast approaching for all bales of hay to be removed from state highway rights-of-way.
The North Dakota Transportation Department is reminding farmers and ranchers that the bales must be removed by the end of the month or road crews will remove them on November 1st.
The DOT says snow management and safety are a couple of reasons why the bales must be removed.
