180+ crashes on snow-covered Minnesota roads Tuesday

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  Authorities say snow-covered roads were a contributing factor in hundreds of car crashes across Minnesota Tuesday.

The State Patrol says there were more than 180 crashes reported between midnight and nine this morning.

Nine people were hurt, but luckily none of their injuries were serious.

The State Patrol also says there were over 120 spinouts and 13 jacknifed semi-trucks.

This comes after snow fell in the metro area last night, and another round moved in early this morning.
