(Jamestown, ND) -- A man who escaped the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown is back in custody.
The State Patrol says 28-year old Jeffrey Cofresi (Co-free'-see) was captured about five hours after his escape. Cofresi, who troopers say has violent tendencies, escaped the State Hospital around 2:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
In July 2022, Cofresi, who was being held in a maximum security unit, assaulted a deputy inside the Cass County Jail.
