Two new income-tax credits available in North Dakota

(Bismarck, ND) -- Some North Dakota taxpayers could save hundreds of dollars following a new legislative move.

State lawmakers approved additional state income-tax credits during the latest session.

It includes donations to pregnancy help centers and foster home agencies, and residents who adopt children.

The Legislature also gave approval to new schedules that are expected to eliminate the tax liability of about 60-percent of taxpayers.

Based on how many people use the tax credits, it could lead to additional organizations making the eligibility list down the line.
