Update: Cass County Sheriff's Deputies peacefully end standoff in Leonard

(Fargo, ND) -- UPDATE: Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner tells WDAY Radio Now that the incident involved a dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend.

It happened at a residence which was previously the Leonard Cafe.

Jahner says initial reports received by his office indicated that one of the parties involved may have had a firearm.

Jahner says one of the parties initially was not in the "right frame of mind" and had threatened self harm.

Deputies de-escalated the situation and no one was arrested.

The shelter in place order was subsequently lifted.
