(Fargo, ND) -- UPDATE: Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner tells WDAY Radio Now that the incident involved a dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend.
It happened at a residence which was previously the Leonard Cafe.
Jahner says initial reports received by his office indicated that one of the parties involved may have had a firearm.
Jahner says one of the parties initially was not in the "right frame of mind" and had threatened self harm.
Deputies de-escalated the situation and no one was arrested.
The shelter in place order was subsequently lifted.
WDAY News Radio has received reports that Cass County Sheriff's Deputies have been called to the Leonard Cafe in Leonard, and are involved in what appears to be a standoff.
WDAY News Radio spoke with a staffer at a business near the cafe, and she says the people at her business and at other businesses in the area have been directed to shelter in place.
We have reached out to the Cass County Sheriff's Office for more information.
