(Bismarck, ND) -- Both the U.S. flag and North Dakota's flag are flying at half-staff today in memory of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, who died last Sunday. She was 96.

Officials with Governor Doug Burgum's office made the announcement yesterday that the state flag would remain lowered through the day of internment. The funeral for the wife of former President Jimmy Carter is set for next Wednesday.
