North Dakota drought diminishes but some burn bans remain in effect

(Bismarck, ND)  --  Despite the state emerging from widespread drought, there are still 15 counties in North Dakota that have burn bans in effect.

Restrictions are in place in six north-central and northwestern counties and six south-central and southwestern counties.

These include Bottineau, Burke and Montrail counties in the north and Morton, Stark and Dunn counties in the south.

In the southeast Stutsman, Dickey and McIntosh have burn bans in effect.
