(Bismarck, ND -- Teacher retention is the number one concern among educators in the state.
North Dakota United says survey data from last month shows 88-percent of educators in the state believe teacher retention will be a major issue in the 2023-2024 school year.
Teachers suggest higher wages and more tangible support as ways to keep teachers from leaving.
North Dakota United says teachers don't feel valued or respected.
When hired 93-percent of respondents felt they would retire as an educator but that number is now 40-percent.
