Senator Hoeven now linking additional taxpayer funded aid to Ukraine with securing U.S. southern border

(Fargo, ND) -- Senator John Hoeven is now setting a condition for additional use of US taxpayer dollars to fund war efforts in Ukraine and Israel.  

"I mean the reality is if we're going to provide military assistance to Israel to obviously secure their border and protect their country, which we absolutely should do, and also military assistance to Ukraine, we need to make sure that we are defending our own country, securing our own border," said Hoeven. 

Hoeven says "border security is national security". 

He says the flow of illegal immigrants entering the country at the southern border "needs to be stopped". 

Hoeven describes the situation at the border as "out of control".  

The senator made the comments while appearing on The Flag's "What's on Your Mind".
