Former North Dakota prosecutor pleads guilty to murder

(Fargo, ND)  --  A former state prosecutor and public defender is heading to prison after pleading guilty to murdering his ex-wife.  

Anders Odegaard will plead guilty tomorrow to beating his wife Carissa to death in front of their children at his home in Warren, Minnesota.  

The killing happened during a custody exchange.  

The couple shared five children.  

A deal calls for Odegaard to serve 18 years in prison.
