(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota's Public Service Commissioner is expressing concerns with the state's reliance on wind power.
"I think we are starting to tip on the edge of flooding our lines with too much of the renewable power and displacing the more reliable baseload power and a balance is necessary," said Randy Christmann.
Christmann says it's a challenge to maintain power grid reliability using wind and solar power sources, especially when winds don't blow and when the sun is not shining.
The commissioner made the comments while appearing on the Flag's What's On Your Mind.
