North Dakota state representative faces criminal misdemeanor charge related to deal with AG's office

(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota State Representative Jason Dockter is facing a misdemeanor criminal charge for his alleged involvement in a deal with the North Dakota Attorney General's office.

The deal involved office space.

According to state records, Dockter is charged with "speculating or wagering on official action or information."

The charge is a class A misdemeanor.

The office space deal was between former Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem's office and companies in which Dockter has an interest.

The charges followed an investigation conducted by the North Dakota Ethics Commission.
