North Dakota AG Wrigley: Federal government "at war" with states

(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley says the federal government is "at war" with the states.

"We are in an era of new federalism. People say what does that mean? Well, the states are out there and through their elected representatives, are trying to assert their state sovereignty and control over your state in meaningful ways in a variety of different issues," said Wrigley.

Wrigely says his office has "two sheets full" of cases in which the state is suing the federal government.

The lawsuits concern a range of topics including regulatory matters and social issues.
