(Fargo, ND) -- More than $100 million in housing investment was added in Otter Tail County in 2023.
"We've been intentionally working to advance housing investment in Otter Tail County really to meet the needs of the workforce. We have a lot of available jobs," said Otter Tail County Community Development Director Amy Baldwin.
Baldwin says 401 new housing units were added last year, along with 81 units being rehabbed.
Baldwin credits the county's housing initiative called "The Big Build" launched in 2019.
The goal was to add 5,000 new or "significantly rehabbed" homes.
She says they are a little more than half way to reaching that goal.
