(St. Paul, MN) -- Minnesota's attorney general is urging social media companies to do more to protect children.

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison released a study yesterday that addressed the effect that social media has on Minnesota children. The report criticized companies for failing to protect kids from cyberbullying, graphic content and harassment.

Recommendations include restrictions on using algorithms designed to keep children engaged with social media for long periods.
