Grand Forks inmate found not guilty of starting prison riot

(Grand Forks, ND) -- A Grand Forks County Correctional Center inmate who was accused of starting a prison riot has been found not guilty.

A jury reached the verdict after just one hour at the trial of Kyle Heintz. He was charged with criminal mischief and inciting or leading a riot in a correctional facility, stemming from a riot that happened last September.

Several other inmates have admitted to their involvement and have been sentenced.
