Giving Hearts Day Executive Director shares final insights at end the record breaking day

(Fargo, ND) -- Giving Hearts Day is officially wrapping up a record-breaking day of giving, and plans for next year's event are being put in place. 

Pat Traynor, the Executive Director of the Dakota Medical Foundation, sat down in an interview with WDAY Radio at the end of Giving Hearts Day. The event drew in $29,089,576 in donations from across the North Dakota and Western Minnesota regions. Additionally, multiple prizes were distributed to several attending charities like Sharehouse, Alzheimer's Association, Box of Balloons, and more. 

Traynor says going into 2025 and beyond, Giving Hearts Day is expected to expand their region of operations. Next year's plans are still in development, but officials at Giving Hearts Day say a goal going forward is to expand the reach of giving hearts day to a nationwide audience. Traynor says a more immediate goal is to expand the newly developed Giving Hearts Day show to other locations already participating in the day of giving across the state like Williston, Bismarck, and several Minnesota locations.
