Minot man sentenced to 35 years in prison after fatal shooting

(Minot, ND) -- A Minot man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for a fatal shooting.

Justin McDermott shot and killed Kenny Javar in the parking lot of the Lamplighter Lounge in December of 2022. McDermott apologized to Javar's family and friends at his sentencing hearing.
